British Automobile Racing Club - Yorkshire Centre
Harewood Hillclimb
BARC Yorkshire Centre, in consultation with our sport’s governing body, Motorsport UK, service providers, competitors and volunteers, have been working towards restarting motorsport at Harewood Hillclimb.
We must stress that our prime concern is the safety of everyone involved and any events will be run in accordance with the guidelines from the Government and Motorsport UK. We have given serious consideration and taken advice about the use of health services and any impact of the event on the local community.
We are proposing to recommence our season with a hillclimb event on Sunday 2nd August. This event will be limited to BARC Yorkshire Centre members and will involve significant format changes to comply with the guidance and advice on social distancing and personal safety.
The usual information for entering this event will be made available shortly via email, Facebook and the website.
We will make further announcements about our plans for the remainder of the season based on our experience of running this first event, but we are hopeful of running further events. The Harewood speed Hillclimb Championship will, however, not run this season as a result of the reduced calendar and alterations to the timing procedures.
We hope that you support our decision and look forward to seeing you safely at Harewood. If you have any questions about our plans or the new procedures, please do not hesitate to contact me on chairman@harewoodhill.com
